- Comprehensive oral examination, OPG x-ray, Intra-oral and extra-oral photographs, professional scale and clean, teeth polish, fluoride treatment, gum health assessment, oral cancer screening, and personalised oral hygiene advice.
For all our examinations we make sure to have a detailed discussion about the current condition of your oral health, and educational material to help explain both the current condition, and the options for treatment. For patients that do not have private health insurance, the total cost for this appointment is $199.00. The minimum amount payable for those with private health insurance is $199.00. If you private health insurance pays the minimum, then there is NO GAP, otherwise the gap must be paid.
About
Dr Philip Moss founded Katoomba Dental Centre in 1998. He is a Sydney University Graduate with 20 years experience in the Royal Australian Air Force before coming to work in the Blue Mountains. Phil loves being able to solve patient's oral health problems and provide education. Phil is passionate and experienced in Implant placements, Crown and Bridge restorative works, and oral surgery, delivering care to all of his patients with compassion and understanding.
Phil sold Katoomba Dental Centre to his son James in 2018, but has remained an integral member of the business, helping to guide and shape it for the future with James. Both Phil and James hope to grow Katoomba Dental Centre into a thriving business, providing accessible and high-quality services to the community of the Upper Blue Mountains.
When not mentoring or working within Katoomba Dental Centre, you can find Phil often working on his gardens. He has successfully created beautiful gardens at his home in the Blue Mountains, where it is on display during some of the yearly garden festivals. When he has time for leisure he often enjoys playing tennis, or skiing during the winter season.
